What you can expect

You will work with other volunteers and we will make sure that you are trained for the particular services you support.
WRVS has been delivering services through volunteers since 1938, and we want to make sure that anyone who volunteers with us finds a well-managed organisation, working to the highest standards of good practice. We have a whole framework – The Volunteer Agreement, a Code of Practice and so on, and have good practices for mentoring and sharing and on-line learning to make sure everyone can access training on health and safety, or food hygiene, and a range of other topics.
WRVS reputation depends on the work of our volunteers, so we expect anyone who is wearing our badge also to display behaviour in line with our values: practical, personal, positive and professional, so that the WRVS name is trusted and respected.
If you volunteer for us, people will rely on you.
