WRVS volunteers congratulated by Vale Assembly Member in Barry

Friday, 17 February 2012

On 13 February Assembly Member Jane Hutt  visited our WRVS club which meets every Monday afternoon at the Colcot Road St David’s Methodist Church Hall for talks, raffles, tea and company. She congratulated the volunteers on their commitment and long standing support for the Club and talked to members about the benefits of the Club. She also congratulated St David’s Methodist Church for organising a regular luncheon club now celebrating its 11th anniversary.

Jane Hunt, Assembly Member

"It was fantastic to welcome Jane to the service in Barry and to show her the fantastic work WRVS are doing to help older people lead active, independent lives."
