  • Betty and Elaine's story

    Betty is 84 and lives in west Wales. After she lost her husband she continued to cope reasonably well because her son lived close by until the day he was also diagnosed with cancer.

  • Jo's story

    Jo acts as a Good Neighbour for local older people in Newport, Wales on top of a full-time job and looking after her family.

  • Phyllis, Pod and Carole’s stories

    Phyllis is normally looked after by Pod, and when he had a stay in hospital she knew they would need help – Volunteer Carole was able to offer them practical help at home.

    Leonard, lives alone with no nearby family. Our Home from Hospital service has given him the help and transport he needs to help him get back on his feet.
