In July 2006, WRVS becaome the sole provider of Meals on Wheels in East Hertfordshire.
The Meals on Wheels scheme now works in conjunction with a Good Neighbours service and a gardening scheme so those who receive a daily meal are also offered these services.
The partnership between WRVS and East Hertfordshire District Council has been based on people in both organisations really getting to know each other and understanding what we want to achieve.
This has led to very positive working relationships and a better service for older people in East Hertfordshire.
