Role purpose
To assist the emergency services manager in general administrative duties.
Key objectives
- Work with the emergency services manager to ensure contingency plans for the area are kept current.
- Arrange volunteer participation at planned events and exercises
- Liaise with team leaders and volunteers to ensure emergency service volunteer callout lists are up-to-date.
- Collate volunteer expenses after callouts, exercises and events.
- Arrange volunteer meetings and training days.
- Attend local meetings, events and exercises on behalf of the emergency services manager.
- Update and maintain equipment and lists of locations.
Key skills required
- IT literate.
- Numerate.
- Flexible.
Overview
Working closely with the emergency services manager, this is an ongoing primarily home-based role. Hours per week are variable according to need and your availability. Training relevant to the role will be provided by WRVS and you will be reimbursed of out of pocket expenses.
