Bournemouth-based financial services group LV= joined forces with WRVS in 2008 to 2010 to promote the 50 Plus Plan. For every 50 Plus Plan life insurance policy taken out, LV= donated £1.
LV= launched the 50 Plus Plan in October 2004. It is a life insurance policy aimed at 50 to 80-year-olds and provides guaranteed cover with no need to answer any health questions, and offering a cash lump sum payable on death.
Guy Benattar, marketing manager at LV= commented: “We are pleased that the contribution from the 50 Plus Plan has raised so much for the charity. It was rewarding to both the company and our customers to know we were helping WRVS continue to make a difference to the everyday lives of older people.”
LV= is the UK's largest friendly society, and a leading mutual financial services provider. LV= started in 1843, when its aim was to help people on low incomes maintain a basic standard of living for their families and save for a decent funeral. Now, its aim is to help customers find freedom from financial worry, by providing a wide range of reliable and good value financial products. It was all about making financial security and peace of mind available to more than just the privileged few.
