Emergency services response teams

These teams are situated all over the country, ready to provide a rapid response in emergency situations. Duties range from providing refreshments for rescue workers to helping to run a rest centre for people who have been evacuated from their homes.

WRVS need people to become emergency response co-ordinators, team leaders, team members and administrators. These roles would be perfect for you if you can stay calm in a crisis and provide support for anyone who has been affected by a disaster, and is ideal for anyone who can't volunteer on a regular basis.

This volunteering opportunity is ideal for you if you want to contribute to the work of WRVS, be part of a team, make new friends and help your local community in times of crisis.

Training relevant to the role will be provided by WRVS and you will be reimbursed of out of pocket expenses.

Follow the links below to see what you would be doing as a volunteer.

To register your interest in one of these roles or to find out more, call 0845 601 4670 (all calls charged at local rate) or register to volunteer online.
