Good Neighbours volunteers provide companionship and friendship by making home visits or speaking on the telephone which helps to prevent older people from becoming lonely.
Volunteers can also help with tasks like collecting a prescription or small jobs around the home or even visiting the shops to aid their independence.
We need people to deliver these services locally and is an ideal volunteering opportunity if you are not able to give your time at a set time every week or month.
Take a look at just some of the opportunities we have for volunteering in
Bromley,
Cardiff, and
Stoke on Trent. But it doesn’t stop there – we have lots more on offer!
This volunteering opportunity is ideal for you if you want to contribute to the work of WRVS, help older people in your local community and make new friends and will help you in personal development.
Training relevant to the role will be provided by WRVS and you will be reimbursed of out of pocket expenses.
