There are plenty of hospital volunteering opportunities for volunteers to help out in local hospitals across the country. In our shops and cafés you can gain retail experience - such as using cash registers and ordering stock.
Some shops and cafés are open on Saturdays and Sundays, so these roles are ideal for anyone who can only volunteer for a couple of hours on a weekend, as little as once a fortnight or once a month. You can also volunteer with a friend.
We also have lots of different volunteering opportunities supporting patients and vistors in hospitals on trolley rounds, staffing an information and guiding desk, or providing flower-arranging to patients. We run reception and guiding services that involve directing patients and visitors to the right hospital ward.
Take a look at just some of the opportunities we have for volunteering in
Birmingham,
Bristol,
Cardiff,
Liverpool,
Manchester,
Nottingham, and
Sheffield. But it doesn’t stop there – we have lots more on offer!
These hospital volunteering opportunities would be ideal for you if you want to contribute to the work of WRVS and your local hospital, make new friends and will help you in personal development and in gaining experience in catering, retail and working in a hospital environment.
Training relevant to the role will be provided by WRVS and you will be reimbursed of out of pocket expenses.
