Payroll giving is the most flexible, tax-efficient method to make a regular donation to WRVS. Choosing to donate to WRVS through payroll giving also provides us with regular, reliable donations, allowing us to plan ahead and budget for the future ensuring the stability of services for older people in homes, in hospitals and in emergency situations.
You can donate any amount over 25p a week or £1 a month, there is no upper limit.
As your donation is deducted from your gross salary it costs less; donations are deducted before tax so each £1 you pledge, you only give 78p from your salary, and if you are a higher rate tax payer it will only be 60p, the rest is made up from tax so we still receive £1.
This is how it works
If you pay tax at 22 per cent
- Donate £5 and it will only cost you £3.90
- Donate £10 and it will only cost you £7.80
