No time
to spare?
Talk to your neighbours, particularly those who you know live alone, and keep
in touch with friends and family.
One minute
Write an extra Christmas card and post it to an elderly neighbour.
Ten minutes
Buy an extra present this year and donate it to your local community centre
or sheltered housing.
40 minutes
Offer to put up some decorations or wrap a few presents for someone who finds
it hard to do fiddly jobs.
One hour
Do you know someone who is going to be alone in Christmas week. Drop in for
a chat or invite them over for Christmas lunch – it could be the only Christmas
meal they have.
One day
Make your new years resolution for 2006 - help older people near you as a
WRVS volunteer.
