Over one million older people will be alone this Christmas

A number of schools are also supporting our campaign by raising awareness of loneliness among older people. If you or your school would like to participate in our campaign follow the instructions below.

What to do

Click on the star

Decorate your star - you could use glitter, felt pens or crayons, pick whatever colours work best. You might even want to use pictures related to Christmas.

Write in a Christmas message, perhaps you could write a short poem.

Add your name, school and age on the back so people who read your message know where it came from.

Give it to someone to let them know you are thinking of them this Christmas or send it to us, we will put it up in one of our community centres or pass it onto some of the older people we help who will be alone this Christmas.

How you decorate your Christmas star and any message you write is up to you – don’t forget your star is likely to be put up on a wall so it needs to be eye catching.
